SkypeGÇÖs not a good fit for large company-customer communication, Lync is too expensive for small businesses. Here is what Nicole thinks: http://www.onsip.com/blog/nico...

Even before I got to Zeus Kerravala's quote I had "pot, meet kettle" in my head. I think you're right that Cisco and other vendors of BIG videoconferencing systems have a tougher fight for mindshare and customers now that Skype is considered by many to be good-enough and something of a de facto standard.

Like! - wins 'most amusing' news of day. Almost a year after the event and dawn arrives at the Network company time forgot. Stop the press...someone in Cisco has just figured out that having a video business built from big TV's, yesterdays tin and the worlds most expensive furniture probably won't cut mustard in a software applications driven market. Simply love the idea that Cisco think they can force Microsoft's hand to 'open up' through Court. The EU Court no-less?! With a watertight defence courtesy of Apple FaceTime and Google Video Chat, Microsoft must be quaking in their boots. Or is that laughing in their boots...??
