IT Exam: The ROI of Asset Management

When organizations look to drastically reduce IT costs, the last area they tend to examine is their asset base. Many organizations don't even have a good picture of what all of their assets are, or where they are. If you can't find it - you certainly can't optimize it.

The truth is that one of the highest yielding cost savings exercises comes from effective asset management. Organizations can reap as much as a 15% savings through effective management of hardware maintenance, and software license management.

Saving money through asset management doesn't require undertaking a massive hardware and software inventory that is 99.9% accurate (not that that is a bad thing to do). It does, however, require you to know what you need.

Are you ready? Take our True / False Quiz and find out.
