Responding to customer requests, RAID will be providing a full line of server solutions ranging from a 1U dual Nehalem CPU system to an enterprise blade solution with fourteen blades in a 7U form factor. These systems will provide extreme high-performance and density. RAID is one of a handful of vendors that can provide dual Tylersburg chipset technology, allowing for up to (72) PCI-E links for applications that need extreme bandwidth and performance. In addition, many of the Fusion servers feature a Green design, with 93% Efficiency power supplies significantly reducing power consumption and overall TCO.
RAID's line of Fusion servers allows them to offer fully configured, turnkey high-performance compute solutions, integrating with storage solutions such as the X2-IB, which is scalable up to 1,536 SAS/SATA drives and 128 GB of Cache, and their existing Fibre-Channel and InfiniBand switching products. In addition, all Fusion servers come with options for QDR/DDR InfiniBand, 10Gb/1Gb Ethernet, and 8Gb/4Gb Fibre-Channel host cards.
"We are now in a great position to offer computing expertise to our existing customer base that has trusted us with their storage and infrastructure needs for years, many for over a decade," stated Robert Picardi, Chief Operating Officer at RAID. "We have proven time and time again that we can be leaned upon for enterprise-class storage solutions to protect mission-critical data, and for a service and support model that has proven to be the most reliable in the storage industry. We are very enthusiastic about the opportunity to bring this model to the server market, and to provide our customers with a single source for all of their end-to-end storage and computing needs."
