Pareto Networks Sets New Standard for Cloud-based Enterprise Networking: Page 2 of 3

Pareto's fully redundant cloud services platform is distributed globally with data centers located across three continents, combining resiliency and built-in disaster recovery for the entire network infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of availability. Pareto also provides military-grade encryption and multiple layers of its own security to further guarantee the availability, dependability and integrity of the distributed network.

The company's first line of cloud-based solutions, Pareto Branch on Demand, consists of three components:
  --  Pareto Cloud Services, a multi-tenant application that centralized
      network and security policy configuration, provisioning,
      troubleshooting, address management, log management, monitoring and
      reporting;
  --  Pareto Branch Gateway devices, that deliver Ethernet, 802.11n
      Wi-Fi and 3G WWAN, along with firewall, proxy and user-based
      authentication, bundled at no cost for deployment in remote locations
      and the data center;
  --  Pareto Virtual Branch Gateway, a VMware, software-based gateway
      for the enterprise data center and securely connecting to cloud
      environments.

Pareto Cloud Services was built from the ground up, with a global multi-tenant architecture to enable large-scale, worldwide deployments from day one. Administrators can easily access and manage the network from anywhere, eliminating the need to install multiple management systems or controllers in the data center. They can even view and troubleshoot their cloud-based network anywhere, anytime using their Apple?? iPhone, iPod and iPad, with the Pareto Cloud Mobile App, also immediately available.

"We are not simply taking a legacy, single-tenant management application, hosting it, and calling it cloud-based networking. Just as Salesforce.com's multi-tenant architecture differentiated it from hosted and on-premise CRM solutions, Pareto's architecture and business model eliminates the need to purchase routers, access points, switches and firewalls to set a new standard for distributed networking," added Palmer. Pareto Branch on Demand empowers enterprises to deploy and manage their own secured, distributed network, without the burden of assembling the individual components. The solution utilizes existing Internet connectivity provisioned to a remote location, or can leverage 3G WWAN services for Internet access.

Pareto has pioneered a new approach to integrate with leading, cloud-based service providers, so that advanced network, security and application services can be added to the Pareto solution in minutes. Much like the consumer internet, where web apps like Facebook and Twitter can be paired to interoperate, Pareto customers can link other network and security applications to their distributed network via Pareto Cloud Services. By partnering and integrating with the leaders of cloud-based DNS, OpenDNS, cloud-based authentication, VeriSign, and web security-as-a-service, McAfee, Pareto is pioneering an entirely new model for network and security services integration.

"Pareto's integration with the McAfee SaaS Web Protection will provide proven cloud-based web security, offering enterprise vital defenses against web-based malware attacks," said Marc Olesen, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Content & Cloud Security for McAfee. "Together, we deliver the scale and cost-efficiency promises of the cloud in a single, easy to use solution."
