Bull Takes CommVault As OEM

LONDON -- CommVault(r) (NASDAQ: CVLT), a leading provider of Unified Data Management(r) solutions and Bull (PARIS: BULL), today announced the signing of a multi-year original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement that will enable Bull to market and sell Bull-branded versions of CommVault's full suite of data management software through its channels worldwide. Bull's objective is to offer a complete data management solution to customers with a single interface to deploy and support the solution across heterogeneous enterprise environments. The addition of CommVault software products, which will be sold by Bull under the Calypso name, will also round out Bull's StoreWay line of storage offerings already popular among IT enterprises in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

"We did a thorough analysis of the data management and protection vendors in the market and concluded that CommVault's deep application integration, management framework and robust architecture set the technology apart from any other vendor," said Benoit Hallez, director of Bull's storage Business Unit. "As the basis for Bull's data management offering, Calypso products will be a valuable complement to the IT infrastructure solutions we offer today. Including CommVault products with our solutions will provide our customers the end-to-end, secure and easy-to-manage storage environment their businesses operations require."

With a fully dedicated business unit for storage solutions, Bull provides companies with global, available and reliable storage infrastructures. Bull will position Calypso as its preferred data management partner and Bull's partnerships with leading storage vendors including Brocade, EMC, and NetApp will now be complemented by CommVault's suite of products. This will enable heterogeneous IT enterprises to leverage cost and performance efficiencies in the use of disk and library devices, shared server and network infrastructure, and a single unified console for data management.

"As CommVault penetrates new markets, we look at strategic partnerships with companies like Bull as a way to drive increased user adoption of our data management software," said Bob Hammer, president and CEO, CommVault. "By pairing our advanced data protection solutions with Bull's market reach, service organization and technology portfolio, customers can eliminate numerous point solutions and thereby reduce the complexity of managing their data. We are pleased to enter into this strategic partnership with Bull to bring our data management solutions to market."
