After a couple hours of coding, the simulations for the lab are finished. We'll be simulating order entry and inventory management via Java servlets. Of course the next step is to set up a system to run the simulations on a regular basis, but that will have to wait until after the system management agents have been loaded. Mike and Steve are planning on testing out the automatic shut down controlled by the APC racks this afternoon so I'm holding off on setting up the simulation infrastructure until after we're finished making sure our systems will shut down gracefully in the event of a power outage.
