The End is Near...Microsoft SQL Server 2000

This fall, Microsoft announced that mainstream support for SQL Server 2000 will end in April 2008. What to do? While many administrators are upgrading to SQL Server 2005, process automation vendor Stratavia is trying to help out.

Stratavia's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Automation Library has step-by-step recommendations to automate complex, manually intensive, and repetitive tasks involved with the upgrade. It's providing an instruction manual with steps to efficiently upgrade a SQL environment and mitigate any vulnerabilities.

Best of all, it's free as Stratavia is promoting its automation platform, Data Palette, which can be used across the board for IT optimization tasks.
