Kim Davis is a Londoner by birth and a New Yorker by choice. He became a professional journalist in his teens, writing for the UK music press. He then co-founded and edited an academic philosophy journal, Cogito, while collecting a doctorate in the subject from the University of Bristol. More recently, he was assistant editor at the New York Times Local East Village website. Kim joined UBM Tech in April 2011 and has served as community editor and senior editor covering enterprise cloud computing, business analytics, IT security, and the rapid development of the software-as-a-service market. He has also hosted streaming radio shows, tutorials, and online chats and presented video blogs. He divides his time between Brooklyn, the East Village, and virtual reality.
