IMAP Server:ISOCOR N-PLEX Enterprise In the field of IMAP mail servers, ISOCOR N-PLEX takes top honors. In our tests, N-PLEX was an administrator's dream, with its distributed nature and management system. The distributed approach of its remote management utility means N-PLEX IMAP and other optional servers can be installed, uninstalled and updated from anywhere on the network. ISOCOR's optional Internet directory server and Web gateway server further cemented N-PLEX's top finish. The directory server allowed for instant integration of directory and mail servers within our test N-PLEX cluster. Couple N-PLEX's IMAP server with the Web gateway and users can access all directory information and their mail in one complete server solution from anywhere on the network. N-PLEX also offers a variety of additional gateways for incorporating existing legacy message systems with the N-PLEX server cluster, but migration of non-SMTP-based messaging systems was not a focus in our most recent review of IMAP servers. However, N-PLEX does assist network administrators attempting the complex migration from legacy systems by providing IMAP and POP mail services in tandem with gateways for legacy mail systems.
