The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Site |
|
By Joe Caponi
It was a dark and stormy day (really!) as I pulled my car into the parking lot at the Garden City Hotel,
here on Long Island. Years before, when my bus to high school drove past here, this entire site was an empty lot, covered in dirt and scattered rubble--the remains of a fire. But since then, the hotel has been rebuilt, and is now a popular site for weddings, celebrity visits and Network Computing meetings.
We're the technology solutions center, and we'll continue providing vital, unique information on building and operating enterprise networks. You'll see more frequent updates to our home page and sections such as the Network Design Manual, WANsites and the Interactive Buyer's Guides. I'm sure you'll let me know if we're on the right path. Our latest Network Design Manual chapter examines Wireless LANs. Peter Rysavy, who's already covered Wireless WANs, comes indoors to look at the possibilities of an untethered workp lace and how to make them reality. Finally, be sure to see our Articles Index--a new resource to help you find just the information you need. It lists our past two years' worth of magazine articles, broken out by section, and it complements our Technology Guide and search tools. Find everything from the home page, www.networkcomputing.com.
