 1997 IS/Network Manager Salary Survey Methodology Network Co mputing's second annual salary survey was conducted in September and October of 1996. We mailed 2,000 questionnaires to readers randomly sampled from our U.S.-based subscriber list. The survey had 310 responses, for a 16 percent response rate. The survey was compiled by Toppmeyer Research, an independent research firm, based in Great Neck, N.Y.
