Although Terisa is largely responsible for the popularity of Secure Sockets Layer, the kit includes Secure HTTP and Secure Electronic Transactions (SET). SET is Schiffmann's current focus. SET is the card-payment protocol being standardized by MasterCard and Visa that dangles the carrot of making payments o ver the Internet easier and more secure for the cardholder, merchant and financial institutions.
