In the kingdom where packets and circuits meet frames and cells, Stratacomreigns supreme. IGX is based on a 1.2-Gbps time-switched redundant bus architectureand is available in eight-, 16- and 32-slot models. It integrates channeledvoice, circuit-switched data, frame relay and ATM services into broadbandor narrowband trunks. Bus bandwidth is allocated on a per-card basis, usingpredictive techniques to ensure that the switch remains non-blocking, evenwhile running at rated capacity.
