Web-site traffic analyzer WebLog Expert 2.0 for Windows provides stats to site administrators and developers and to marketing managers looking for insight into customer activity. In addition to adding support for sending reports via SMTP and MAPI, version 2.0 can upload reports using FTP and download log files via FTP and HTTP with support for internal log cache. Cygsoft ManageIP
Cygsoft is issuing an enhanced version of its IP address management solution, ManageIP, at 49 cents per address (for a minimum of 1,000 addresses). This latest version of ManageIP adds to the product's DHCP and DNS server-management toolset by providing what the company calls "client-classing." Automating the process of giving policy-based config information to network clients, client-classing lets administrators assign network resources to classes of users, thereby reducing admin costs and minimizing downtime. $.49 per IP address, minimum of 1,000 addresses. Cygsoft, (408) 353-5764. www.cygsoft.com

Deerfield.com VisNetic MailPermit
Internet software and services provider Deerfield.com has released a beta version of its VisNetic MailPermit spam-prevention software. MailPermit is activated on the gateway and issues a one-time response to all incoming e-mail senders, from which it builds e-mail sender lists, whitelists and blacklists. Available to enterprises and ISPs, MailPermit lets senders respond once to verify their legitimacy and to be included on the whitelist. Known spammers and those who do not reply are added to the blacklist and their e-mails are denied. The solution supports SMTP e-mail servers, including Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes/Domino, Unix-based systems and Deerfield.com's VisNetic MailServer. E-mail filtering rules can be modified at the user, domain and system levels. Starts at $99.95 for a six-user license. Deerfield.com, (989) 732-8856. www.deerfield.com
