Follow Mike Fratto as he evaluates NIPS (network intrusion-prevention systems). Between now and September, when we publish the test results, you can access his preliminary findings and anecdotal experiences. You can also ask Mike questions via our Shop Talk Forum.

Objective: Test products that detect and prevent network attacks. The focus of this review is products that are installed in-line with the network, don't require network address changes and use signatures to detect attacks.
