Segue Software SilkPerformer V
Improved. Segue Software has introduced SilkPerformer V, the newest version of its load-testing application. The product has been rebranded from SilkPerformer to SilkPerformer V (pronounced "vee") both to acknowledge that this is version 5 and to play up the significance of the software's content-verification feature. Additionally SilkPerformer assists customers in the process of ensuring applications scale and serve up correct content under load. Among its new features, the product offers the TrueLog Explorer, which can provide a visual root-cause analysis of errors encountered during testing. SilkPerformer V users also can visually specify what content to verify. Nontechnical users can include content verification in testing scripts without writing custom code. Finally, the replay engine has been enhanced to minimize system resource drain and increase the speed of the application.
