License and Registration, Please

Because Avocent's DS1800 is based entirely in KVM-over-IP technology, the number of allowed "users" (controlling PCs) per system depends on the number of licensed copies of DSView software. One copy equals one user, and a total of eight is allowed per DS1800 unit (the equivalent of an eight-by-eight traditional matrix). Each user can run eight simultaneous, nonblocking sessions, producing the most powerful server administration available over the network. As the system grows by deploying more DS1800s, the number of allowable users is infinite -- as long as a licensed copy of DSView is purchased for each.
