New Helping your users keep their faxes organized is easier with SpartaCom Technologies' BizFax 2000. This network fax software lets users send, receive and store faxes on any networked computer. Faxes are managed via the user's Internet e-mail box and appear as e-mail attachments. They're also archived, so users can keep a record of incoming and outgoing traffic. BizFax 2000 works with Linux-, Apple Macintosh- and Microsoft Windows-based browsers. The software lets users annotate or edit their incoming faxes and has rerouting capabilities. In addition, the software lets users share phone books and cover pages across a network.

Imagine LAN RegSafe Professional Edition 1.0
New RegSafe Professional Edition 1.0 is a suite of tools that lets your network admins handle advanced Registry management on 32-bit Microsoft Windows systems. Imagine LAN's RegSafe uses its so-called System Snapshot technology to capture and store images of system-related data at specified intervals. These images then can be used for administration, comparison and troubleshooting. Users can view the Registry in various ways--such as by root keys--or expand to view keys, values and data, and key permissions, such as ACLs (access control lists) on Microsoft Windows NT or Windows 2000 systems. Beyond simply viewing the data, you can use RegSafe's export feature to send portions of a Registry or Registry comparison results tree to a .reg file (Regedit4 format). In addition, RegSafe's Edit function allows you to change the current Registry, though RegSafe automatically makes a copy of the current settings, should you need to recover from an error.

Improved Installing an application on a single desktop--no big deal. But deploying that same application enterprisewide can cause untold hassles. LANovation's PictureTaker Enterprise Edition 3.1 eases that burden by letting you install, upgrade or remove software from any Microsoft Windows-based systems on the network--even remote computers. PictureTaker creates what it calls a package, which includes the application and any drivers or files needed for deployment, and then pushes the package out to whatever computers you choose. A new feature in PictureTaker 3.1 is the Conflict Checker Professional, which scans the PictureTaker packages, self-installation files and system files (such as DLLs) for errors before deployment.

You also can recover files already emptied from the Recycle Bin. EasyRecovery copies your recovered data to a safe location and creates a virtual drive in memory so recovery efforts don't further damage the data.
