How We Tested In our University of Wisconsin-Madison Real-World Labs®, we used a Dell PowerEdge 2200 server powered by dual Intel Pentium II processors running at 300 MHz with 256 MB of RAM. On this system, we implemented an enterprise-class installation of each IMAP server. Our testing focused on getting up and running with our existing user database stored in our Windows NT domain. We used IMAP, POP3 and SMTP clients to verify compliance with each standard. Support for Web access to user and administrative server settings improved report card scores, though these features were not required.
